Hotel Borobudur Jakarta Announces New General Manager

Jakarta, 6 October 2021 – Hotel Borobudur Jakarta, the city’s most iconic premier 5* hotel recently appointed Gerhard L. Doll as the latest addition to lead the executive management team of the historic hotel, as its new General Manager.

He brings over 25 years of experience in the luxury hospitality segment, garnered across 10 countries from Europe, North America and Asia with top brands including The Peninsula, The Ritz Carlton and The Mandarin Oriental Group. Prior to taking the helm at the Hotel Borobudur, he served the last 4 years as the General Manager of The Crimson Hotel, Filinvest City, Manila.

Born and raised in Germany, Gerhard is particularly focused on guest experiences, innovative products and trend settings. His mantra “Great service should happen without guests knowing where it comes from”. He originally comes from a culinary background, and later on completed his Hotel Management Diploma at Cornell University.
